Overview

McKellar Construction is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings, ensuring they meet safety standards and client specifications.

Duties:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship preferred.
  • Valid electrician license.
  • Proven experience as an electrician.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
