Join our team at McKellar Construction as a Carpenter and contribute to our mission of enhancing homes and communities across the region. As a Carpenter, you’ll utilize your expertise in woodworking and construction to build and repair structures with precision and craftsmanship.

Duties:

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
  • Build frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
  • Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding.
  • Ensure projects meet industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship preferred.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter.
  • Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
  • Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
